Happy Friday, y’all!
I am buzzing with excitement for the Olympic Games 2024 Paris. I’m not wishing time away, but I am also looking forward to the future. I realized that in the next decade, the United States will have two host cities: Los Angeles and Salt Lake City, Utah.
I’m also looking forward to seeing Akron, Ohio, native LeBron James be the first male basketball player to bear the flag for Team USA. I fondly remember the championship parade when the Cleveland Cavaliers won the title back in 2016. It was such a joyous day, and it reminded me of sport’s power to unite. I hope the Olympic Games do that for our country for the next few weeks.
It seems you all unite around your emotional relationship with OSHA. You want to know what the agency is doing, even if you disagree with their methods. And you definitely want to know about funding opportunities. (Reminder: Those grant applications are due today.)
There is so much that can divide us, but I hope you are able to take a moment to connect, empathize or relate to someone with different experiences. That’s the only way, I think to get more people to buy-in to safety’s mission.
